All from simple beginnings...

I had been a member of the very old stand alone Panerai forum... and big fan of Walt Odets (on a different forum)... even took his online watch course Part I & II.

When "Paneristi" joined up with "The PuristS", pre-PuristsPro days, I moved onto the old Forum54 platform.  Along the way I picked up a PAM 89 in brushed titanium, 44mm, Luminor, Anthracite dial, black sub-seconds, and OP VIII movement (a modified Valjoux 7750).  Still have it and will be wearing it this weekend.

On 14-May-2012 I became the moderator of the old "Photography Techniques and Equipment Discussion" (Forum 54) ... seven years ago this week ; )

Indeed I lived in Shimokiazawa for almost 20 years and it's where I picked up my user name.

That’s one of the things I noticed most in Japan. Reminds me ... My brother used to work at Microsoft (long ago), and when they moved their HQ to Redmond he said the old buildings weren’t worth saving because the walls and ceilings were so filled with cab...

I had been to the Redmond campus in the late 1980s when working for a Japanese IT company
