Normandy, September 2020.

Sep 14, 2020,14:31 PM

Well, a very busy week-end, this one. Invited at Julie's home, who nows lives just near Deauville, we started with a small walk on the beach... Which was full of people...

The ferret had a lot of success on the beach... smile

Then she showed me the reason why she moved to Normandy:

Her neighbours's house:

I noticed an Alpine AD, who was quite friendly as he allowed me to test drive the A 110 for 1 hour and a half... wink

And on Sunday, BBQ and on my way back to Paris.

Short, but intense in emotions...

As I like them.

The beach and restaurants looks well patronised. Just the place for a perfect week-end spent.

Would like to go there. [nt]

. . . and yes, there's a reason for asking . . .

I don't know. I will check that.

Seems like no time was wasted with a side trip to an Alpine dealer. Because of you guys I've been watching vids on the A110. The design philosophy is quite compelling..

The long shadows and the light remind me of the feeling I used to get during that last holiday of the summer and at a much earlier time, the beginning of the next semester at university. Bitter sweet memories.

To be relived again! [nt]

Looks like you had a great time at Deauville my dear Nicolas! I keep some fond memories of my visit to this most charming place some years ago...

 By: Subexplorer : September 16th, 2020-16:16
... which was not only beautiful place but also very interesting to me as it was the place of where one of my favorite pictures was filmed: Un Homme et une femme (1966, Anouk Aimee and Jean Tritignan, directed by Claude Lelouch). I wish I will be able to ...

Ah yes!! Of course!! ;)

Unforgettable scenes!! ...

Ha ha ha!! True!! I loved to walk that lovely place, and also view the plaque which reminds that the film was done there. Not to mention that the city is so lovely...

the Alpine is a bit sudden though nevertheless, it's beautiful car and the specs look impressive too! it'll be a niche car over here where it'll cost around 200KUSD to leave the showroom
