...but after 18 months ('14-15) my wife's company sent her home. I am an art director/graphic designer but not a great photographer (I paid people for that : )) but it is a photographer's dream...

Japan was on top of the world during that period. It was a crazy time. I basically lived in The Hotel Okura. They gave me a special night pass because I was rarely in before 3 AM. Lots of stories non of which I remember.

I worked for one of the large US investment banks at that time. Sadly I didn’t do that much socializing outside of corporate entertaining. I went back years later to spend some family time in Kyoto which is still one of my favorite cities in the world

This was a connecting train from Haneda if my memory serves me right. I saw this gent and the train passing in the background and took a shot. But what i really wanted to do was slow down the shutter a bit so i can get a moving shot of the train. Of cours...

where the shinkansen tracks run parallel to JR and the station is a terminus of the monorail to/from Hanada... at least you got the one shot ;-) Casey .
