There are only three underpasses to go from side to side... including one inside the station
the good news is the station doesn't change that much over the years. I had a friend who would never walk through the station, always walked around... didn't like the crowds at night.
It can be confusing... as the station has 36 platforms, including an underground arcade, above ground arcade and numerous hallways. There are well over 200 exits. Another 17 platforms (53 total) can be accessed through hallways to 5 directly connected stations without surfacing outside.

Went out to a few bars...
...on Halloween 2014 in the Ebisu area. There were large, roving gangs of college girls, and for some reason that year the costume theme seemed to be ‘naughty nurse.’ It was not terrible : )

You can tell by the outerwear that the temps have turned cooler... hovering around 18-20°C during the day and rain. Casey
