Were these shot B/W immediately with the camera or were they edited from a coloured picture to B/W?

Unlike film cameras, all digital cameras capture all data. It doesn’t matter (to me) if it’s presented as color or black and white. That’s just the choice of the photographer as is the crop.

Any photo you take can be presented in the other format. You can “take it” in BW and present it in color or vice versa. So while I took them in black and white, the camera was also taking them in color. The processor collects all data available to it. ...

I was wondering if the B/W from the camera would be more 'pure', detailed than a filter added on a computer. The picture looks really vibrant even though it's black and white, which I like. I assumed a filter would be more work to alter and get this effec...

Desaturates the RBG based on the pixel data. The sensor collects the data and the filter ignores it. This would be the same pre or post processing as I understand it. So taking a photo in color and desaturating it post hoc would be the same on principal a...
