Great tone. A lot of details all the way to what looks to me a beacon tower.

It’s a little beacon on a rocky shoreline just north of the city.

Oh do tell us where this lovely place is!

About 4 miles north of the center of the city by Lake Michigan.

Both wonderfully shot and entitled !

I acquired a Leica Q2 last year and I love it a lot. It is a collaboration with Hodinkee, the “Ghost” edition. ...

It’s a fabulous looking beast. I would be very tempted if I were starting over.

Haha, thanks:)

But it is more important to know how to take fantastic pictures like you

Great shot!

And I can see several additional crops that could work for this image too. Very nice.

You’re right!

It’s really a matter of intention. I looked at landscape and portrait crops coming in closer, but does it match your intention and you begin to see a bit more grain.

cool shot

Getting better, go for print

For me

It’s about the juxtaposition of the angles of the trees and the clouds and the repeat at the master/dog level. Nicely spotted
