Finally got some snow, and more in the forecast.  My friends always complain about my 'hat' but I like a little shade on my face when taking photos - I really need to try an eyecup, particularly mid day...

and that's my Nikon F3P with the 50mm f/1.2 under my jacket not the result of the pizza & draft beer from the other night.

Thanks for looking,
Casey

On that day the x100t was also under the coat so it was quite cozy ; ) I should have shown the Nikon F3P in the photo. The couple who took my photo were funny... I have the Fuji back screen turned off for both composing and chimping so he had to look thro...

Nice to see you Casey ;)

The first shot immediately caught my attention, but now the third one is growing on me. I love the clearly in-focus branches up front and the soft feel of the bridge in the background. It should also be noted that your friends took a nice picture of you a...

and the park is a popular spot for spring blossom viewing... in that third photo it was snowing, which added to the soft feeling. I like the Fuji x100t for portraits and have the camera set up for face recognition... I had dialed in +1/3 exposure compensa...

That brings back some good memories! That red bridge in snow is lovely. I am a collector (in a very minor way) of hanga of Junichiro Sekino. There is an early print from 1938 of Hirosaki Castle with a similar view of the bridge and moat which I have had m...

Thanks for the introduction...

From your photographs, I think you might like some of his work, especially as many show interest in architectural qualities, especially in his modern version of the 53 Stations of the Tokaido. I have some of his portraits of sumo rikishi whom I remember f...

I attended an exhibition of two versions of Hiroshibe Utagawa's "53 Stations of the Tokaido"... the Hōeidō edition (1833–1834, his most famous edition) and the Marusei Edition (Hiroshige created around 30 different editions). I am sure that I would enjoy ...
