Hi thanks for your feedback

It’s not so much that I didn’t like the first series, it’s more that in hindsight I deep doen felt it could be better.

Indeed I studied the first serie and then promised myself to stop next time I would be in that neighborhood (which was sooner than I thought).

I changed a few things which I felt could be better being;

1 time of day: I started shooting the 1st series about half hour before sunset which in hindsight was just tad too late because the better photos came last when sun was nearly on horizon. That gave a nice composition with the sun in between two buildings but in hindsight it didn’t do much to the remaining part, and downtown area.
So it was actually too late which gave that very red color but not yet late enough fir all building lights to be on so the city itself became background instead of subject.

In seconds serie I was much earlier. More time to set up etc which paid off

2) composition in serie 2 I got the whole city from the building far left which is the edge up to including Burj Khalifa and beyond. Gives better impact of the width of the city

3) sharpness. 2nd is sharper and better DoF

4) clean lens

All together if I still made an error. Judging from the review on the camera screen the water seemed nice flat not too much just enough. But should have used an ND filter coz I agree water on series 1 is nicer

Ha which makes me realize that if you would have said 2 years ago that one day I would be analyzing my photos, identify areas for improvement and then go back to same location for another shooting session, I would have swiftly dismissed that and replied with :”that’s not gonna happen”. But here we are.
