Difference between auto and manual exposure mode...
The topic came up in a couple of threads and some of the reading I have done on various photo forums... specifically related to the Fuji X-series cameras. So I thought I would do a test.
I did a number of comparisons in different light as well as interior & exterior... there was no difference in my testing when using the Fujifilm X100T.
using fully automatic "P" mode
using the same f-stop and shutter speed as "P" mode
metering the same scene
All were ISO 320, F2, at 1/60 second...
Given the specifics, I wish all tests were this conclusive ; )

The funny thing is...
I was actually expecting there to be a difference and the Sekonic reading was a bit of a surprise... F 2.0 0 / 10

My flip phone has a camera but at the moment I have no way to down load the images...
The P10 camera is very good as are others, however...
No internet nor email on my phone. I like the space... have a coffee and read a book rather than... Voice and SMS in urgent cases... When working the staff knew that I didn't check email after hours... it's not the end of the world if I miss this or that ...
Not surprising...
Not sure why one would expect it to. Program mode and manual mode is the same as driving your car with cruise control set to 60 and manual driving 60. In program mode the camera is making the decisions and in manual you are but the light meter is the same...

I like the way the pictures emulate....
it is like a calibration test. Your Fuji X100 passed the test. Best Regards Edward
Yes it's a calibration issue...
With the x100t I use in-camera JPGs so the camera is doing the post processing and it's interesting to see the choices made... The Fuji developers know the strong points of the camera, have some idea of what makes a 'good photo', and might prioritize acco...
