Recently I posted some photos of dubai skyline at night. In hindsight was t as happy with them as I thought. So went back this time 45 min earlier and here is the result ...  

A proper stable tripod is key next to simply experiment with aperture - shutter - ISO - white balance and a filter until you gave the desired exposure. The bigger challenge is finding those spots that allows for that particular scene which allows for good...

Bucket list for me too. But first, I wanna go home to Singapore. Been stuck in Australia for 3 years now, and could not go back.

Both series are excellent... with a slight preference for the way the water looks in the earlier set of photos. But yes, going back can be a useful experience and kudos for making time to review the original series before re-shooting a location. Casey .

It’s not so much that I didn’t like the first series, it’s more that in hindsight I deep doen felt it could be better. Indeed I studied the first serie and then promised myself to stop next time I would be in that neighborhood (which was sooner than I tho... 

Since I shoot a lot of film, I am a big believer in one shot and walk away... but test shoots are a different matter. I might have a list or area where I want to make multiple exposures and/or use different accessories. Just back from Tokyo an hour ago an... 

Reminds me of last year high school where my parents gave me a camera as graduation present. Film was (and probably is) so expensive that you were careful with every shot. Digital makes live easier in that respect
