Unfortunately, the cell phone is a must have in this day and age. Like you, I agree, it takes away the traditional aspect and mood of the place. They should ban them in places of worship!

A very uplifting series with many heart warming images... and look at all the color. I don't have any problem with the phones, just catch her facial expression of joy in sharing a photo with friends or family... different from the mindless texting and gam...

I also noticed the cell phones — hard to reconcile — but modernity is everywhere. I had to show these wonderful photos to my wife. You are blessed to be able to experience such a place. Thanks for drawing us in.

Apart from the cell phones life is much simpler and more genuine in places like these. I'm thankful to have visited and experienced the joyous occasion at the monastery.
