Found this tree toward the end of my daily walk...
On most days I take a one hour walk around the neighborhood... the area is equal parts agricultural, residential, and second homes... I am loving the cooler weather ;-) Casey .

The hues inspire vibrance and positivity. It must be beautiful in Japan now, with autumn. I grow 2 varieties of Japanese maple. Sometimes I pick the leaves to press in old books.

Amazing task ahead
Sounds like so much fun, to be gardening. Tough work indeed, at times back-breaking. I tried to shovel a hole for a tree, and it always gives me callouses and blisters. And then I discovered a soil digging machine which bores the soil out for planting tre...
hehehe... when I wrote "we will finish planting", I really meant the landscaping crew ;-)

I have really enjoyed my time in Nagano (not over yet)... six + months and counting
lots of fresh, local grown vegetables and very reasonable prices... tons of fresh air and no hustle and bustle of the big city... Casey .
I grew up in the USA, a part of the Midwest with seasons and autumn colours...
The tones here are different, my take is subdued, but the colours grow on one over the years ;-) Casey .

the classic four seasons... add to that rainy season and typhoon season. The autumn colours are particularly deep and rich this year. I love the variety and changes that each season brings. Casey .
