Thanks for looking Casey

The ray of lights on the first one were reflections of an awful lot of sanddust in the air. Very fine particles, daytime hardly visible but at night when caught in a the beam of a powerful light, these rays come out.

I agree the last one (now that you mentioned it) might indeed have been a bit darker. However I was shooting with an 20 mm f/1.8 lens in moonlight and street light. Add to it that I wanted a long shutterspeed for the water. With ISO at bare minimum (100) it still was fairly bright.

In post I made it bit darker but now I see it could have used bit more. Nonetheless I am still very happy with then shot.

ps: the nicve thing I am discovering is that if you carry you camera always in the car youโ€™ll find much more nice photo scenes and opportunities. So I stop quit often, take fgew quick photos and drive on. Once home I will look at them and if the location is still great than there is no bigger reward in planning the next visit for some more shooting.

I used a long shutterspeed so the water looks more flat and silky and thus the reflections become better

Very cleaver technique!

Iโ€™d love to go sometime. Very safe there, and a lot to do. Enjoy.

The first and last shots...

the first for the light rays, the last because of the shutter speed. I think you could have gone a bit darker but that's just me ;-). Lovely follow-up series. Casey .

But you never forget a good location... The same is often true about revisiting themes or special composition combinations. Soon the "to-do" bucket list is almost but not quite unmanageable ;-) Casey .
