That's amazing! I'm currently getting my undergrad in aerospace engineering (and guitar performance, though that's not relevant here), so naturally military aircraft have captivated me from a young age. That is just too cool. Texas has a way of imprinting... 

Ha great story. Indeed where we lived people thought of themselves as Texans first then Americans. Back then I met folks who basically claimed that Texas never joined the US, but the other states joined Texas. Or they claimed Texas was the biggest state. ...  

Citizens taking advantage of what the city has to offer adds a peaceful touch to the modern-ness of the photograph. The lighting is very nice. Casey .

I havent been to Austin in like 25 years and that building sure wasn’t there back then. But I loved the city and its people (obviously since I used to live in Texas as well, but in a slightly more remote city: Wichita Falls Texas between Dallas and Amaril... 

I hear Wichita Falls is a nice city. Never been sadly, it's just a very long drive to get there from Austin. Austin has indeed grown a lot - that building is far from the only new one. But with the lake and hills its still quite pretty.

But WF is just a small town in middle of nowhere but with a big US Airforce Base named Sheppard AFB

And a lot of them are very pretty. Perhaps not the best if you're a young gun looking for work opportunities, but nice places to settle down.
