so i tried taking these shots at home after the photography workshop

as i don't have a flash, i used a longer exposure, but i think a flash would work better











and yes, my camera's sensor needs cleaning

But yes you are right a flash (or LED panel) is a great help for a better contrast, a more crisp image... But you will probably need a workshop for improving your skills with artificial lighting which is quite specific. You will enjoy it a lot, photograph...

close-up work shows every speck... some cleaning putty is your friend Lighting and light-control is a step up... be it an inexpensive hand held led pannel or manual flash with cable. no need to spend big money to get started... The first photo is my fav.....
