Some parisian buildings.

I was invited some someone who live in a skyscraper in Paris, which offered me an unusual panorama. The old church, lost in the modern buildings: A modern stadium, on the right, cemetery on the left: A dizzy view from the 15th floor: The good old Eiffel T...

Sexy woman’s place perhaps??

I wouldn’t have imagined that was Paris. There’s definitely great value in retaining the facade of old buildings, such as the preservation of history, culture and design through time, amongst other things.

Surprised? I think sad and disgusted would describe my feelings.

How did this area look before these brutalist buildings were put there?

Le Corbusier's view...

I hate Le Corbusier. [nt]

Such buildings should only have been built north, east and south of the Peripherique... or even better never anywhere in the world

15eme, Grenelle? These buildings remind me of Jacques Tati's Playtime which is set in Paris but you cannot recognize the city AT ALL because it has been plastered by post-modern architecture.

Most amazing city [nt]

There are a few "classy" tall housing buildings in the 13th, but they are not on the Olympiades patch we can see here, closer to the 5th district, like the "plein ciel" building, with a roofed poil as well as an open sky pool both at the top of the buildi...

With pleasure. [nt]

I do not mind modern urban architecture as long as the facades and general layout are preserved. The Cemetery was probably out of the city when it was originally built, and now it is in the middle of urban areas. Looking forward to the next visit.

Les Olympiades is an acquired taste, that's for sure

I used to go there quite a bit at the beginning of my 10 years in Paris. I had just returned from 18 months in Vietnam, and it's in this area of Paris that you get the best Vietnamese food. I can't recall the name of this huge, fairly run down shopping ce...
