Jupiter and Venus

Mar 03, 2023,20:21 PM

Ended up seeing these two bright lights in the sky, first thought UFO, second thought Chinese Spy Balloon (since those have been in the news lately here). A friend suggested it was Jupiter and Venus since they're crossing over one another and will be super bright where I live. Well, let me present Jupiter and Venus on a 500mm lens biggrin hehe The first photos the original and the other two are the crops biggrin

At the northern hemisphere. Jupiter and Venus. Not much light pollution. With the naked eye if healthy eyes or with a lens. The sun i guess is always the easiest to see. I got worried if we could not see Jupiter and Venus with any gear, and a sky full of ...

Nicely done

They’re blazing bright in the western sky where I live

I stick to the Nikon D850, the 46mp gives a lot of reach for cropping, granted I normally would never crop that far in but with them being so small and only being able to get maybe 700mm with a Teleconverter

For further shots, I'd suggest the Nikon P1000, I'm highly debating getting one, it has a zoom range of up to 3000mm and a lot of friends have been happy with the camera.
