Photography

Normally when I shoot b&w film I aim for darker subject matter or themes that lend themselves to dark rendering... here's an exception ; ) silence... Thanks for looking, Casey ...

I am currently in Nagano Prefecture for two weeks... cold-cold wind but little snow were I am at the moment (forecast is for -12°C tonight. I am thinking to visit Aomori in mid summer to get a feel for the area and scout locations that I might want to pho...

I feel tension in this picture....

I have the same feeling and I think it's because of the composition... I wasn't sure anyone would pick-up on that or even if it was 'visible' unless like me, you had been there... that tension is one reason I selected this photo... When first looking at t...

I was in Ueda earlier today... doing a little shopping and taking a break from Karuizawa. Should be back to Tokyo the end of next week. Casey

can enjoy the snow somewhere nice and not popular for tourist yet

I can recommend Asahikawa... unfortunately some of the smaller (less used) train lines are disappearing, so remote areas are limited to bus or car access... Aomori and Hokkaido next winter ; )
