A marine gastropod mollluscs... I had to look it up - fascinating. lovely example, it's good to be under the sea again ;-) Casey .

and that's just the Chromodoris sp. Then you have: Dendrodoris, Phyllidia, Flabellinas, Phdianas, Jorunnas, Phillodesmius, Nembrotha...and another 100 or more species. One more beautiful than the previous one. You can get lost, by just looking for nudibra...

Nudibranchs …

all the pictures I've posted so far, were taken in the IndoPacific basin, in places like: Sipadan, Layang Layang, the Straight of Lembeh in Sulawesi, Manado, Komodo in Indonesia, the Milne Bay of Papa New Guinea, Thailand, Philippines...etc

I just ordered an underwater camera set-up. As soon as the curfew ends here, I’ll go for a dive to photograph some Weedy Seadragons again.

One of my diving "regrets"....

never having found time to go and see the "dragons" (sea dragons, leafy and weedy). I've seen them in aquariums but it's not the same. Enjoy your opportunity. You go to Kangaroo island or Esperance in W.A.?

Here in Sydney

Quite a few sites around. They are found where vast kelp areas grow. Maybe 10m down, and they’re there and quite easy to spot once you’ve spotted them once or twice. =D did not have the chance to go to WA since I came here. I haven’t even gone to Tasmania...

I actually know that....

you can do fantastic "muck diving" around Sydney. With all the jetties around it's prime area for nudibranchs, for instance, file fish, stone fish, ghost pipe fish..etc. While swimming with the dragons, have a look around in the mud

Yes Sergio

I will do muck diving here soon. When the restrictions lift, I’m gonna do a dive marathon. Oh yes, now that you’ve mentioned muck diving. I once did a dive at Pulau Hantu in Singapore. It was most opaque water ever - could not see my hands in front of me....

I did my 2 open water dives....

for the final certification, in Pulau Hantu. That's NOT muck diving that's ghost diving, as the island name suggests. I lost my "buddy" as I was descending and never found him again, until I got back on the boat Lolllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

Well said. It really is ghost diving

I wonder how the waters are in Hong Kong. I heard diving is possible there too, like James Bond emerging from the harbour in HK in one of the movies.

A beautiful tiny nudibranch!

I love nudies. Unfortunately, during my last removal from Singapore to Milano, I lost one carton with hundreds of spectacular slides of marine life. The few pictures I have posted so far, are the only one I have and survived ONLY because I had taken them ...

OMG that sounds horrendous!

I am so sorry that has happened!! Hopefully you can upload them digitally now onto a cloud or something so that you dont have to worry about them getting lost again! It is a brilliant shot anyway!
