It was a Dutch Shepherd. Very similar to German Shepherd but in general just a tiny bit softer Same built same posture same character be it just a little bit less sharp. I live both versions the German and Dutch. Not a big fan of the Mechelse Shepherd tho... 

As a child, our family had a German Sheperd, but I can’t remember him, alas. Nowadays I’ve lost my heart to Jack Russels... George

If you are able to decide based on what’s best for your dog, it’s easy but if you allow your own emotions to kick in, you might delay it too long. We took middle field and feel like we made the right decision at the right time

Those eyes. Is t it amazing how a dog can look at you with those big eyes full of trust in you and only wants to be loved and give love.

And yes that look that a dog gives you especially after years together is priceless and something i will never forget...even with out photographs! Time makes you feel better about the time you had but is still something that brings tears to my eyes as I a...

Since we moved to dubai we didn’t get a new dog. The climate isn’t that great for dogs like this But when we move back we sure as hell will get another one again

In general our pets are more trusting and loyal than most of our friends. I'm sure this was the case with this wonderful dog.

Once a dog gives you his trust it’s unconditional and eternal. Although I do realize there are countries where they think different about our friends. That I can still accept. But I can’t deal with countries where they beat them and eat them.

What a sad moment, I know very well the feeling, I lost my friend a year ago due to same causes. I had him for over 13 years and what a friendship it was! May he run in peace in the eternal fields and forests!

Ours made 14 years but when he couldn’t work anymore you could see the sadness in his eyes and it was time to give him peace and rest.

All of us who have had these special family members know the joy and heartbreak. Kent
