The day after Typhoon №19 passed through Tokyo Saturday night and the wind was howling... six emergency warnings as rivers were on the rise... Later this morning, after some breakfast I plan to walk around the neighborhood. Casey Edit: Photos from the BBC...

Some areas were hit hard... it was quite the blow

I follow the weather, and hope nobody hurts. The victim’s where mostly people who where in their cars. Better stay in a bunker with internet connection, water, healthy food, and a great watch on the wrist.

The popular spots were all abandoned last night (Saturday night 12-Oct).

of course most of the trains were stopped and the shops were closed all day or in the afternoon. Extensive flooding and wind damage... Casey

Thanks Nico...

all my close friends checked in as okay... sunny and 28°C today... some rain later in the week. Casey

Quite beautiful and a poignant shot that reminds us there is always calm after a storm

Only Japan can pull through so quickly from a natural disaster be it a storm or a landslide or an earthquake. The preparation the organisation and the clean up efforts are second to none . 🙏🏻❤️

Thank you for the kind words 'centurionone'...

After many years it's second nature to photograph after the storm... ... sometimes even during ; ) I have mentioned it before, but the communities have learned to look to the central and local governments to provide basic support, but not to depend on it....
