Frans Lanting talks about Photography & Time

Nov 23, 2020,10:37 AM

Stopping, extending, exploring time in photos - from 1/4000 of a second to decades...

This is an 30-minute, brand-new as of yesterday, video presentation (from a photo seminar called OPTIC).
I have no commercial connection with this - it was recommended to me by a photographer friend.

VIDEO HERE

Print of the Shackleton Expedition Escaping from Elephant Island in 1916 in front of tourists coming ashore in 2016.
Both photos taken with the same camera, then owned by Frank Hurley and now owned and operated here by Frans Lanting

Old as you and me. 2001 H.R.H. Prince Bernhard inducted him as a Knight in the Royal Order of the Golden Ark, the Netherlands' highest conservation honor. My guess is he’s Dutch, but he lives in California. Mike

Hi thanks

Finally got an opportunity to watch the 30 minutes... Enjoyed the video and Lanting has some interesting thoughts. He certainly traveled the world with his cameras plus the wonderful story of the camera used during Shackleton's Endurance Expedition. Thank...
