For cinematography...

It has to be 1917. Best picture could be something else but I don't see how you beat 1917 for cinematography.

were all great movies ,I’m happy for these nominations. The hustlers would be disappointing since that piece was under mediocre although JLo is very disappointed but sometimes for cinematography you need more than a fully makeuped cougar who acting hersel...

One of De Niro's worst movies

By: COUNT DE MONET : January 30th, 2020-01:51
Being a De Niro fan it was nearly a torture to watch that movie. De Niro supposed to play an Irishman in his 40ies to 80ies, wearing blue contact lenses. The whole mask make him look so artificial, so odd looking that it must have had an impact on his act...

The list of nominations is for "cinematography"...

I saw the Irishman and loved it

but I have a feeling it will not win many awards due to the strong competition from the other nominees.

Thanks for the comments about "The Lighthouse"

I just watched the trailer, a review, and comments by the director & actors. It seems like the Greek-ish themed movie will not connect with everyone... but I get the feeling that the cinematography is top class... Casey
