Even these every day sceneries have an exotic quality that I love taking in.

when talking about what makes a photograph 'interesting', or interesting enough to cause-a-pause in ones daily life... "Photography for me is not looking, it’s feeling. If you can’t feel what you’re looking at, then you’re never going to get others to fee...

This is so true and also the magic of photography

the individuals that keep the trains running and on-time are much appreciated... I was commuting on an over-packed train when a young individual got their arm stuck in the door... the platform staff quickly disconnected the air pressure activated door, go...

I also feel strong about that picture, Nico

It’s a nice composition and the colors are really nice. It also speaks to me on a deeper level. To me, what “makes” that picture is the detail of sharp iron crease in the shirt. Perhaps because I live in a culture that is more sloppy. To me, that tiny det...

...but JR usually got us where we needed to go when we first arrived. Be careful of Shinjuku...even after a year of living in Tokyo sometimes it was hard to find the exit! It's an entire underground city : )

hahaha...

Shinjuku station can be a bit confusing... and particularly challenging to describe a meeting place to first time visitors... the only place I ever really got "lost" was the new international terminal at Hanada Airport... for the life of me I couldn't fin...

Hi Casey, your pictures and write up brought back so many memories old and new. We always stay at the Prince Shinagawa Hotel. The station is so convenient to explore Tokyo by train and a start point for Shinkanzen to head across this fascinating country. ...

Shopping takes it to a whole different level ; ) Normally I am a big fan of cityscapes at night but this time I have a slight preference for the overcast & slightly foggy photo taken at 6:08 PM... but I do like the contrast of the two photos of Shinagawa ...

Thank You....
