The word that immediately springs to mind looking at these pictures is - damp (a condition I’m all too familiar with in my part of the world). You’ve captured that dull weather beautifully. The other thing that strikes me is that the location doesn’t look...

If it wasn't for the cars it would be very difficult to tell when the photos were taken which gives them a lot of charm.

...somewhere near Kamakura. We were early and the room wasn't ready so the manager suggested taking a hike in the nearby hills with trails. It was very pleasant, but there were 'beware of bear' signs everywhere : )

...when we left, the entire staff was lined up on the driveway (like Downton Abby) : ) They gave us a ride (two minutes) to the train station in a Rolls Royce Phantom. Great Japanese hospitality as usual...
