If it wasn't for the cars it would be very difficult to tell when the photos were taken which gives them a lot of charm.
Some of the shops have been around for over 100 years
not to encourage more visitors, but it's a lovely destination. Casey

We stayed at a beautiful ryokan...
...somewhere near Kamakura. We were early and the room wasn't ready so the manager suggested taking a hike in the nearby hills with trails. It was very pleasant, but there were 'beware of bear' signs everywhere : )
