Bangkok is amazing
Used to fly to Bangkok every other other week and stay for a few days.
Still missing it, the people, atmosphere, food, weather, everything…
Great city for a short break….
The skyline is forever changing but the downtown traffic has not improved a bit over the past decade.
It is wet season….fortunate to have dry weather during the day
Ponding was quite bad…from ankle to just below the knee. Drainage in the city is bad..

Yes, while the country is fully opened to foreign tourists….
People are still cautious esp indoor…..

Wait time for a cab in the rain would be more than an hour plus another 45-60 min ride for a distance of less than 10 km😖
My favorites are the second (traffic) & last (airplane)...
It's been 20-25 years since my last visit, things look cleaner but the essence of the city doesn't seem to have changed. Many great memories from Bangkok... Casey .
