It's a 3cm pigmy sea horse. I took the picture (years ago) in Kungkungan Bay, Lembeh Strait, Sulawesi, Indonesia with a Nikon RS and macro lens, during a night dive. ...  

How did you even know the seahorse was there in the first place?!

in a dive operator's brochure, at a diving show. I just booked, flew to the place and followed the local dive guides. Once you've learned where they hide, you can go look for them all by yourself

I bought the RS because she "knew" better than me. I have other UW pictures...I'll post some in the future

small seahorse. This is a different spiecies altogether, called pigmy seahorse (hippocampus Bragibanti) The one in the picture is a fully grown...adult.

a blue ring octopus. I have no idea what a mototi is but I have taken pictures of the....mandarin fish

Mototi only have 2 Blue Rings. It will show as she feels threatened ...  

Mimic octopus. It can "mimic" several different fish species. I almost forgot to breathe lollllllll

it's all on digital video cassettes (it has been quite a while since I filmed) and I haven't managed to transfer it on more..modern communication's gadgets. Sony used to have a "converter" (shove casset in on one side, get DVD from the other) but they don...

You can also find it in Lembeh, but very difficult to find/spot.

of octopuses: Mimic and Wonder....Momoti must be a "local" Bahasa Indonesia name, no?

However in Indonesia you can only find it in lembeh.

I also say it in Indonesia but can't find the picture! Once I find it, will post! I love macro photography!

in Sulawesi is the MACRO world capital of diving. I've been there 7 or 8 times and still managed to find new stuff to film everytime!!!!

Will def write it down and try to visit once this covid situation ends!! It is something to look forward to for sure!!
