and visitors who have the time to explore Nagano... only an hour by shinkansen from Tokyo. Many individuals from urban areas have summer homes here... including politicians, business men, entertainers, and the royal family... the list is extensive... I ha...

Karuizawa isw such a beautiful area all year around. Thanks for sharing pics of your walk. I would love to go to Karuizawa again. I have to wait a few more weeks in Tokyo to see fall foliage. Always around Nov. 23 (Labor Day) the ginko tree leaves in the ... 

It's less than five minutes walk from my home and I snap the location every year... except this year, as I decided to spend most of the year here in Nagano Prefecture. "My" tree is at one of the local temples... Ginkgo trees are just gorgeous this time of... 

I am in Yotsuya, which is within walking distance from 明治神宮外苑 (Meiji Jingu Gyoen) and the ginko tree lane. At the front entrance to my "mansion" is a ginko tree designated as a "protected tree" by Shinjuku-ku. I happened to look at it yesterday, but still...

re visit with a day or 2 stay, not only a couple of hours, this beautiful area still very clear in my memory....thanks Casey for taking me there
