5711/1a
I am the proud owner of a 5711/1a and I have to say that it is an unbelievable watch. It's light, thin, pretty to look at, and extremely comfortable. I've never tried nor looked for a 5153g so it's hard for me to give you a fair comparison. For one they're both very different looks. The 5711 is a bit bigger and sportier. As far as the rarity and resale value is concerned, I'm not sure about the 5153, but I know that the 5711 is very hard to find and therefore has a good resale value. At the end of the day you're getting a Patek, which you cannot go wrong with.
Best of luck with your decision.

im about to buy this watch as well. for me i want a sporty discreet watch that is water resistant. If i was after a dress watch the 5153 would be my pick of the calatravas but in white gold or rose when it eventually comes out. regards darren
