Well, for me it's just a picture queen. Underwhelming in the flesh, great under flash.
Just like with models... great on pictures but prudish in bed.
Yes, I've tried it on. All relevant iterations actually.
None did anything for me except the 5740G for it's weight and the 5712 for it's design. Other than that it's all status. Execution didn't quite match the MSRP.
The white dial versions...
... are very convincing, maybe you give these a chance? Produced in much lower numbers as well. And discontinued.
White version is far more complex
than the others. More depth to the dial. Silver-white contrast is also very special.
As said, I've handled all relevant models. Side by side.
I don't like them! Neither by design, nor by quality or by price! Jeez!

Lettering looks very faint
Is it me or does the lettering on this look faint? Real Nautilus?

Glad you were able to see it in the metal. Even though my favorite 5711/1A is probably the white version, it's no surprise this beauty has find so much popularity among collectors!
Hope your friend decides to unwrap it and wear it, however, it's too bad that a lucky owner of this piece doesn't fully enjoy it! ;-) Cheers.
Wait...is that a screen protector on the watch!?!
Looks like there is a film or something on the crystal face of the watch. I can see small bubbles where the screen protector is lifted off the screen. This is really going to extremes! Doesn’t the owner know that the sapphire crystal is practically scratc...
