During my latest Patek event, I had so much fun with the other aficionados and friends that I only managed to try a few watches on and take some dirty pictures at the very end on the party. And by the way, no travel case here 😭

Yes just like how I have photo gaps of the meals... but post meal I had to handle some of the pieces present....

Btw, are these new travel cases big enough? I'm asking because I have an older one, shiny dark brown, that I only use for thin watches.

Works perfectly well for me but I have tried with any large watch (>42mm)

I don't use it with my 5164 for instance, don't like to bend the rubber strap to much. Apart from that, the case is beautiful and the watches are very well secured inside.

Very interesting to hear your thoughts of what clearly was a fantastic evening. While the Nautilus QP is stunning (and on order!), I agree with your assessment of the 5204R. Just a showstopping piece. Thank you!

I can understand why big watch makers want to stop being at the basel fair, events like this is in my opinion much more effective

But Basel is meant to be a show for media and retailers while these events are for potential end customers. But I do agree that for Patek to do “trunk show” events where customers can physically handle products that generally are difficult to experience i...

A budget question as the spread in price from high to low is quite substantial.... my two favs are the least and most pricey of the four.... will I buy any, well depends on what I deserve this year...

So it depends on your relationship with your AD and the number of "good clients" it has. I don't know if there is any rule or guidance from Patek itself.

You should let your AD know you would be interested in events like these. Generally AD arranges these things locally and coordinates with their Patek rep. I am sure your AD will send an invite your way next time if they only know you are interested!

I noticed from the picture that the leap year "3" is not centered on the 5270P in the photo. I hope that is just a photographic error.
