The reason why they're all clocks and not wristwatches...
I just noticed something after reading your post where you mention none of these LP covers have wristwatches. That's because wristwatches on their own aren't necessarily "beautiful."
Wristwatches have lugs. Which means that they don't look right if they're not worn on a wrist, because the lugs themselves don't add beauty to the watch - they add practicality, but lugs themselves are not beautiful. Kind of like how car mirrors aren't usually beautiful - but we need them to drive. But most cars would look better without their mirrors.
ERGO, clocks are beautiful objects in themselves.
Thus, watches almost always look better on a wrist than not. But clocks are standalone items, they look beautiful on their own.
Just a thought.
