Patek Philippe

On the 16h of March 2020, it is 10 years that I own this reference, the 5070, in white gold. The first time I saw it, it was in the window display of the Paris Boutique, in 2005, and it was love at first sight. Curiously, it stayed a good month in the win...

The 5070 is my personal favorite as well of this group (though I might be biased ), but regardless, that's a superb collection of chronographs to have! Enjoy.

It indeed is an iconic model, and I see where all the charm and love comes from. Yet, I must admit I'm more in the camp of the 5170, because of the bezel, the less busy dial and Breguet numerals! May you enjoy it for another 10yrs

That 5070 G is something very special, it has coolitude like very few other models from any brand. I was lucky enough to experience it for some years after Vlad had infected me with the 5070 virus and I enjoyed it so much. I was sure it would be much too ...  

So nice to read this stories, wish one day my pieces will reach that milestone. It’s extremely rare to find a watch that after all those years brings out the same sentiments as it did the first time. Enjoy it forever my friend!

Unfortunately each one of those are uniquely gorgeous. I Honestly I can not be as dedicated as you are. I would choose a triple love on earth of 5070, Duometre Chronograph and perhaps someday VC will listen to my yearning of salmon dial CDV. I am saving A...

And as usual, I’ve always enjoyed reading your articles. Thank you for writing them for our consumption 🙏🏻 The 5070G would be my choice of chronograph if from PP and it’s not that the other examples such as the 5170G isn’t up to mark... it’s just differen... 

I think the subtle, or maybe it’s not so subtle, influences of certain members here led me to an appreciation for this reference. To my regret I’ve never managed to spend any real time with one, seen several at auction previews but always a little rushed ... 

5070G is my favourite if you compare it with 5070P. I think it is the classic and the epitome of 5070. The 5070P came along much later and the blue dial... either you love it or you not. I don't. But imagine if they come out a special edition... a 5070 St...

Your love for the 5070 is great to see. It is for sure here to stay and will be around long after this awful virus has gone away. The 5070 in any colour is a great watch to look at and belongs in all Patek collectors watch box. For me it wasn’t necessaril... 

I also feel the 5070G is the best modern simple chrono by Patek in recent years. But like you, I would not mind adding a 5370P and a 5970P in the future if possible but those are not simple chronos 😉 Will start a wristshot post and roll call for 5070s to ...  

Great timepiece mon ami! I wished I had one for ten years! I definitely share the same sentiments with you regarding not finding the platinum version. But I also share the same sentiments that sometimes we just find a different version which we may enjoy ...
