I was already married and living on Lexington and 27th and my wife had just started a new job working in Brooklyn on the waterfront. From her office she could see bodies falling from the buildings...one of them turned out to be one of our best friends that we had lunch with a few weeks before on the upper east side. We lived next to the armory which served as a staging area for those trying to locate family members. I grew up in Manhattan but within three months we had moved to Brooklyn in Dumbo where she was working. Thatβs when I got my first Bengal cat. Within two years we had moved to the Hudson Valley and got our second, Reggie. I have lived many places (Paris, Vienna, Greece etc..) but I donβt regret leaving NYC (even less now) for a second and have less enthusiasm for it as each year passes. Looking forward to a βlong hot summerβ as Mick said in a song. As for my April fools watch?
...it is April Fools after all...π
