Sorry to read about this
It's your brand new watch and despite the manufacture flaw, I still hope you will enjoy this beautiful piece for Christmas and the new year. But it's good to show it to the AD now if possible and tell them your disappointment. I hope they can quickly arrange for PP for a brand new piece in the meantime for a swap.
On the bright side, you got the purest Nautilus imho and it's really a very nice and classic watch! May it time the happiest moments for you.
Cheers
Robin

I also had a problem with a new PP 5711. The 12 o'clock markers were not properly aligned and there was a problem screwing in the winding stem. My watch was one of the last 5711 (2009) with the Geneva seal, purchased in the US.

I brought the watch back to the AD this morning. The SA tried to call GMT Singapore, the Patek distributors for SEA. As predicted by ianny, nobody answered as probably closed for the hols. But maybe it's a good thing as the SA said he will get their outle...

However, if I had noticed the flaw in the seconds hands before I passed them my credit card (lesson learnt, always check your new watch carefully, even with a loupe, before paying for it), they would not have been able to sell me that particular watch. I ...

I am providing updates here to share notes for the benefit of the community. A few days after I returned the watch to the AD, the SA informed me that his management believed that GMT Singapore (the Patek agent for the SEA region) would just repair the sec...

I took the initiative to write-in to Patek Philippe (via the Patek Philippe website) explaining my issue and requesting for a quicker turn around time. Good news! I received a reply within the same day, and I was informed that a new 5711 is on the way to ...

Just wanted to report back that Patek Philippe, the Singapore distributor Geneva Master Time, and the AD (Hour Glass Pavillion) came through fantastically in the end. I collected my brand new 5711 today. Everything is perfect, and am totally happy. Thanks...
