Some pictures of the Patek Philippe 5196P Tiffany.

Credit pictures: A Collected Man.

Not only the pictures are good, but he had the good idea to remove the case back to show the movement, the Cal 215, which is nice, despite its modest size.

Which explains the centered small seconds...

Still I find this reference very appealing, with its Breguet hours markers, and its round minutes indices.

The case, too, is very much my taste, and its 37 mm wears a tad bigger. Which leads me to think that 36 or 35 mm would have been enough...

Best,

Nicolas

If we set aside the crazy prices on Tiffany patek sports

I like the tiffany and co stamped above 6 oclock for 5711, I find that it balances the emptiness of the bottom dial.

Here you go

Pardon the bad photo, hard to get 3 watches in one shot. But case in point, on the 5711 and 5170, the tiffany stamps make the dial more balanced. But in my opinion, the tiffany stamp on the 5164 makes it abit too crowded on top. Best, masy ...

I see! Right you are! [nt]

As far as I know

It will not be included in the 2019 catalog. Thomas

39 mm ;-)

it would be sad as I see a gap if you look for a 36/37 mm manually wound no-date dress watch - hardly a few offers ! Best, Mahesh.,

Interesting....the newer Co-sign signature is in the small seconds circle....

And the seller is a gentleman ...

If rumor is true....the gentleman should hold it for a while? It's only few months to BaselWorld 2019...

I agree this is an absolute beautiful and elegant watch, congrats to him or you ?

Nice

Nice piece thanks for the shot. I like the Geneva seal on this one too. How does it feel to wind this 215 movement vs a 5070 Lemania for example? Best.

Beautiful watch...a shame that...

...the movement is so out of place. If PP continues to make manual wind watches in today’s larger size cases, they might want to invest some dollars in a larger movement. I suppose one could say the same for the 240 auto as well.

I considered this one

 By: CastorKrieg : December 4th, 2018-21:39
In the end I couldn’t get over the fact how mismatched the movement is with the case, just screams lazy to me. Same with American 1921 with Vacheron - the new smaller model holds the same movement which fills the case beautifully.

The 'big watch' fad has gone on far too long now...

 By: mdg : December 5th, 2018-00:03
...for it not to be lazy. Companies like PP are making money hand over fist, but keep putting old (small) movements in huge (new) cases. If these companies were serious, they would be developing movements to fit the cases. Not quite as bad as putting a ro...

Well now I am considering it again ha ha

lovely reference and the heft feels great on the wrist. If it does not have the seconds dial, it would be perfect IMO

a very lovely reference

and i absolutely agree with you, 35mm would've been perfect
