Hi,
just a quick guess (as i?m really not into Patek?s and my knowledge of these is rather poor).
Like other makers, Patek had some Valjoux VZSS base movements in use for competition purposes.
It?s not a converted pocket watch movement, but a chronograph base lacking the chronograph mechanism. Only the small second is left.
If you do have Osterhausen?s book about wrist chronometre watches, you?ll find a scan of the movement. It?s likely the ones in use by .
