Recent issue with my Nautilus 5712
Hi,
I wanted to seek the forum members guidance on a recent issue with my 5712. I have had the watch for 16 months now and it has mostly been worn gently on the weekends, not more than 10-12 times in total. I have always remembered time setting on my 5712 to be ultra smooth. Recently, during the last 2 weeks, I feel a very slight continuous crunch or click, for lack of better word, while setting the time. I feel it near the crown/stem as if the crown tube is dry. I may be totally wrong in my prognosis. Everything else like winding the watch or timekeeping is absolutely fine.
I still have few months left in the warranty and can send the watch in to the NY service center for it to be checked/serviced. However, I am a little hesitant after reading few horror stories on pristine watches picking up scratches during service or coming back with new issues. Should I sent the watch in now to have it looked or should I keep using the watch and have the issue looked at during the recommended service at the 4-5 year mark? Thank you.

Hands down, you should send it in for service now.

Curious what was the issue with your aquanaut? 5712 has a different base movement (240) to the Aquanaut (324) as per my understanding.
