Dear fellow purists,

A friend of mine has the opportunity to buy a Golden Ellipse 3738 on gold bracelet, similar to this (credit: collectorsquare):

The main question is, what if the bracelet is too short (you never know when it comes to bracelet), is it possible to buy additional links at PP ?

Similarly is it possible to switch to a leather band ?

Also, would you know the meaning of the symbol before & after "SWISS" ? Looking around I saw this symbol ion most of the 3738 (if not all), but I was unable to understand what it meant.

I think it’s a sigma symbol either side of Swiss indicating the facets are solid gold (and maybe the dial too) [nt]

Hi, you cannot switch to a leatherstrap. The bracelet is soldered to the case. There are no additional links for this bracelet. You need a goldsmith to make it longer, normaly at the clasp. He can put a piece of gold between bracelet and clasp. Mostly the...
