Reason: at the same price tag a Patek is less in service costs than six Rolex!

Rolexes are work horses....you may stretch or not service them but you will probably service your PP 😬

Be careful with the PP bubble, i remember very well the last one in the ninethies. I dont remeber a bubble with Rolex watches in the last 40 years! Enjoy your Rolexes, wear every week another one. Forget problems and if you need a service you dont have to...

Six to One, I'd go with Patek. Definitely quality over quantity. Then again, it would depend on which stage you are in watch collecting.

Quality questions aside, it depends on the definition of it. Rolex precision and accuracy is quite up there and advanced technology. Patek Philippe is also a powerful in innovation and new technologies too. Thank you.

toss-up until I understand your definition of “equivalent value”. Is it equivalent based on MSRP or secondary value ? Based on just the watches, I am on the fence because, each of these rolexes (Pepsi, Daytona, Batman, root beer) is difficult to get at MS... 

I based on secondary values, roughly $110k-$130k, give and take, average. We all know, based on facts, 5131s MSRP was $68k last listed but they always do superbly well. 5270 not so. It’s interesting to see how things can get to the tipping point. Thank yo... 

Rolex because I would take quantity over quality for now and then I can always sell the rolexes for the 5131 + one other ! Right ? :-

I was not a big fan of Rolex before 2014 and only have a Prince WG because it is different. At that time, I see all Rolexes are similar, look the same and many people wears it, to show “status” 😳 I prefer “higher end” Swiss manufacturers that will be subt... 

Why? A few reasons. 1. The SkyDweller is neat but I can’t get past its looks (cyclops, flute, size) too much of a parts bin piece but a cool movement (that an owner can’t see, mind you...) 2. I don’t like the way the Daytona looks, never have so that ones... 

Good thing there are always something for everyone. I’m not missing any Rolex models, I chose not to have the Milgauss because I don’t like it, just like you don’t like the Daytona 😁 Thank you 🙏🏻

That’s the best part of design - just like art, we eventually find our pieces...
