Very nice novelties and it is wonderful that I have no more cash to buy any of them! But if I could afford any of them, the 5531G is absolutely gorgeous!

Love this one...

 By: mdg : March 30th, 2023-21:41
...wonder if it will fit my 7.25" wrist?

 By: PaddyP : March 27th, 2023-06:52
Yeah the clear winner for me along with the 5968r. I love the 5224r case, reminds me Of the old pieces but the dial is too cluttered for me and not a fan of the font.

Green Pilot!!!!

And by far one of the best releases in current years!!

Love these! Thanks much!

👍👍

 By: FabR : March 27th, 2023-08:15

Many thanks for your input, also from a designer perspective, if I recall correctly. What's sure is that this new Calatrava trio has (expectedly) provoked very strong -- and far from unanimous -- reactions among collectors, so far...

 By: FabR : March 31st, 2023-00:12
Typically, this happens with a new Patek release *right before* everyone tries to source it.....so it will be interesting to continue to follow! Cheers.

Absolutely fabulous !

 By: Cpt Scarlet : March 27th, 2023-07:45

;-) Cheers.

 By: FabR : March 27th, 2023-08:40

Good to see these novelties ….

 By: Cpt Scarlet : March 27th, 2023-07:39
The use of colour seems to be the trend. Thanks for sharing them with us Fab.

That’s quite nice

 By: Mr.Gatsby : March 27th, 2023-07:58

Spectacular!

 By: NautNut : March 27th, 2023-10:56
Thank you

That could actually be spectacular as a couple watch -- impossible to beat, I would say! ;-))

 By: FabR : March 27th, 2023-13:36
I'm sure JPV is the artist's signature, I should look into it -- in the past, a few Rare Handcrafts of the same 7000 line were signed by Anita Porchet's atelier (the famous 'AP'), but I believe I don't recall this signature! Cheers.

This one's....

My favorite this year! What a beautiful dial with gorgeous colors.... Thanks for the hyper-thorough report, cheers and goodnight, Filip

beautiful piece by Anita Porchet but my favourites are the two piece uniques "Bengal Jungle" with the MR

and the pocket watches with the beaitiful stands, elephants and the "night in japan/ tokyo" simply stuning

Interesting, so there are no new platinum or steel pieces?

 By: ArmisT : March 27th, 2023-07:58
This is a stunning and exciting range of new pieces. In particular, the rare handcraft are exquisite. Thanks for all the details, Fab.

Thanks for sharing Fab

Wonderful to see WPS covering all the new Patek releases. Best Gatsby

Many thanks my friend -- Basically my second full-time job, especially in the middle of the night (plus of course all that surrounds it in terms of communications).... ;-))

 By: FabR : March 27th, 2023-08:31
But seriously, it's TOTALLY worth it for my forum and for such a distinguished and passionate group of collectors -- there's truly nobody like you guys here! Especially the Rare Handcrafts are often not available elsewhere for a while, so it's an even big...

Patek is an important brand…a cornerstone of most people’s collection if they are serious about watch collecting. I too enjoy discussion the brand here with fellow collectors. We’ve lost some old members over the years…of which I’ve had the pleasure of re...

My pleasure, and Thank-You for the appreciation. It's obviously not always easy to moderate a forum of this magnitude on my own, but when I do something I fully devote myself to it, to the VERY best of my ability -- that is just how I approach life! :-)

 By: FabR : March 30th, 2023-16:05
I'm simply a man of my word, and it's an honor to share my passion, energy, and little bit of knowledge in this area both for our incredible members and of course for a Brand that is very close to my heart. The great success this forum has been experienci...

but the good thing is that this year i will save some money !!! Thanks PP Reason, in the regular collection some look OK but i go not get / like several design choices like : - The 24 hours dial on the calatrava - The removal of the GMT pushers on the chr...

yes ..

 By: chris7509 : March 27th, 2023-09:03
That's clear .. dreaming costs nothing and i still need to recover from the last 5231 ... 90K€ is massive .. So, overall, even if i may seem to be on criticizing a bit i am in fact happy as i may not have a big dillemna this year

;-)

 By: FabR : March 29th, 2023-16:54

I've mainly been interested in Patek but also Rolex this year, including the new Ti YM and also the 'playful OP' (I might ask for the 41mm for me and the 36 for my GF, who loves it, but given my status as a Rolex collector they'll be TOUGH to get! :-)

 By: FabR : March 29th, 2023-21:05
This new 5316 is close to the top of our catalog (MSRP is CHF 830k, which translates to well over $900k), but I'm very happy of the overall success, including models that many people will criticize but then -- I'm sure -- everyone will try to source (how ...

And now the official prices, which just came in from Patek (as usual, mine might be slightly different from those you'll find on the official site). Note that both Grand Complications and Rare Handcrafts are upon request ;-) Cheers.

Prices

 By: SchmidtSol : March 27th, 2023-14:17
BTW: Prices for all watches including the new ones are today available through PP's swiss webpage in CHF for those interested.... this might be a glitch

Many thanks Sir, I just checked and you are indeed correct -- the Swiss version of Patek's website does display prices in CHF for all in-catalog models ;-)

 By: FabR : March 27th, 2023-16:51
I have no input over Patek's site, but a likely explanation is that, for the more rare pieces, prices in *other currencies* are sometimes determined at the time of the allocation (depending on conversion rate and other factors). Local prices are therefore...

Thank you Fabr

Love the complications 5261R categorized as the Aquanaut Luce line. Wonder if perfect for man’s wrist…😜

Well done 👏👏

 By: GLau : March 27th, 2023-14:20
An interesting line-up for this year ! Given the intricate enamel dial and MR function, the 5531G naturally is the favorite for me. The grandmaster chime with GR provides a very different feel and looks great. The one with emeralds and diamonds is simply ...

Thanks for photos.

My pleasure👍🥂

Uh oh, there are two of these I like.

 By: patrick_y : March 27th, 2023-17:10
Time to check the bank account, sell a kidney, and empty the piggy bank.

There might be a way for me to keep my kidneys!

 By: patrick_y : March 27th, 2023-21:25
I anticipate to get a laugh that I don't appreciate Patek Philippe enough to qualify to buy the two watches I like. So thus, I'll probably have to keep my kidney! I was already thinking about how I would spend my dialysis appointments. I'd spend them look...

I thought you grew a couple kidneys a year?

 By: patrick_y : March 27th, 2023-21:33
It's too bad we can't grow new kidneys as we get older! Should've sold more kidneys when we were young! And who is JPV in the enamel context? I recall AP is Anita, but I've forgotten who JPV is. This is the signature on the elephant dialed minute repeater...

;-))) That is correct, as I was mentioning earlier Ms. Porchet and her atelier did author this same Rare Handcraft reference in past years, while I do not recall seeing the 'JPV' signature before...

 By: FabR : March 27th, 2023-21:41
I checked in the pretty detailed material I have for this reference and it's not indicated, so I should look into this further out of curiosity! Cheers.

Ha, just to take it easy this year! :-)) OK that will remain a secret between you and me my friend! :-)))

 By: FabR : March 27th, 2023-21:52
PS: Seriously, I don't know which markets they will be allocated yet (the former is being offered as LE of ten pieces, the latter six), but I'd truly love it if you could get one! Fingers crossed!

🙏🤞🤞

 By: FabR : March 27th, 2023-22:41

disappointed in everything except the rare handcrafts

 By: Francoamerican : March 27th, 2023-18:27
i just can't figure out the lumed arabic strategy - unless it's just as simple as an attempt to make a gold dress watch look a bit sportier - but it just seems incongruent to me.

great Job Fab We all really appreciate the hard work that goes into the preparation of these presentations.

 By: watch-guy.com : March 27th, 2023-19:36
Also as mentioned previously it is excellent that WPS have the ear of PP and are involved in the early release of these watches and wonders. Thank you again Julian

Many thanks Julian, it's been once again my sincere pleasure! The fantastic support I'm constantly receiving both from our Members and the current Mod Team means that my efforts for this great forum and platform are truly worth it! :-)

 By: FabR : March 27th, 2023-21:25
And of course, Patek's assistance and constant availability has also been fundamental in order to serve as the forum Moderator in an effective way -- immensely appreciate their trust and friendship! Cheers.

Yep, even in this fast-moving world, I have no doubt that Patek's unique history and DNA will always be reflected in its offering...

 By: FabR : March 28th, 2023-01:17
However, striking a balance between tradition and innovation is never a simple exercise, and in my (necessarily personal) view, it looks like the current Patek lineup is being *very* successful at it! It will also be interesting to see how Patek's *sports...

Excellent work! Thank you FabR

 By: pptraveltime : March 27th, 2023-20:53
Many beautifully made pieces. However, Patek seems to be further away from subtle beauty. This is the first time Patek new releases are not attractive to me.

My sincere pleasure Sir, and thank-you for providing your valuable feedback on my forum! Small but incremental changes in certain design aspects, from classical to more colorful/daring, have no doubt been a recurring theme of our recent releases...

 By: FabR : March 27th, 2023-21:48
While I (very much!) appreciate this more modern elegant code, I can totally understand others may not... Hope you'll find further releases that may appeal to you in the future! Cheers.

A huge thank you Fab for your tireless, thorough, beautiful and around the clock coverage of the 2023 novelties. For me, the most interesting and appealing

 By: patekova : March 28th, 2023-21:51
of all the standard production watches is the 5261R Aquanaut annual calendar. While denominated as a ladies watch (which makes no sense to me) it comes in at 39.9 mm, which less than 1 mm smaller than 5164R. The 5261R is one mm larger than the 4947/1A whi...

Many thanks Patekova, it's my huge pleasure to serve this incredible forum! It is precisely because of passionate and knowledgeable contributors such as yourself that we are, proudly, the premier online destination of Patek collectors worldwide! :-)

 By: FabR : March 28th, 2023-23:15
I appreciate your interesting and always thoughtful feedback on the new releases....as I mentioned in an earlier reply, even if this gorgeous 5261 in Rose gold is technically designated for Ladies as part of the 'Aquanaut Luce' collection, I agree its siz...

Amazing, Incredible, Stunning, etc etc

Many thanks for your feedback, Gelato, always appreciated! ;-) There's no doubt this has been another great (start of the) year for Patek in terms of the remarkable quality, boldness, and also diversity of these releases!

 By: FabR : March 31st, 2023-00:17
Virtually every collector will find one or more references to dream about within this year's novelties....so let's hope that many members of our great forum will have their dream come true! Cheers.

True.
