Dreams, travels, cars, watches... Life!
Jan 18, 2021,13:22 PM
My comments :
- Dreams : yes, yes, YES !!!
- Travels : that's my job so traveling is not fun by itself it depends what you do during travelling...
- Cars : cars and track driving used to be an incredible adrenaline factor as all speed sports but... life has teached me to look through another perspective for the reason that you know...
- Watches : of course HUGE YES !!! Let's jump on what make our heart beat faster !
As for your PP selection: let's take them in your order : 5110P, 5970P, 5004, 5100G, 5370P, 5960A and 5196P
- 5110 P : I had it and it is a THE worldtime to have. IMO the P and R are gorgeous. I let it go for funding another horological project as you know but no doubt it is a GREAT one and a keeper I still think of
- 5970 P : 5970 is an incredible chrono QP from PP and makes my heart beat faster and faster. P might be out of reach, G so understated that it might lack life IMHO, Y rare and beautiful but maybe not the most attractive version even if very nice. The R is Mmmmm ! Mmmmm ! Crazy project let's see...
- 5004 : of course an incredible watch but there are several issues with this one for me : it is out of reach and there were issues with the movement (I purposely do not say reliability issues but at least adjustment issues ; it was common for this ref to spend as much time in after sale service as on your wrist...). Nonetheless a fantastic iconic ref
- 5100 G : I am with you a segmenting but very very attractive option. If I could afford I would not hesitate, it would have joined my stable atready
- 5370 P : I had the opportunity to try it on my wrist at several occasions as you know (still thinking of our regretted departed friend from the forum) and this THE watch, absolutely gorgeous, incredible movement... I have no words to describe its beauty but... luckily for me its straight lugs and large size just do not fit my chicken wrist. Fantastic looking but... do not fit on my wrist so my my bank account is saved (but WOW what a gorgeous piece!)
- 5960 A : yes again I am with you. A great daily wearer on a strap but choosing is renouncing so I have no other choice but to forget it before having one
- 5196 P : again yes you are right that's a great piece. I would have kept mine gladly if I could. My banker insisted that I decide what I keep and what I let go. I was happy to enjoy this one on my wrist for quite a while. A very beautiful Calatrava that I would have kept with pleasure if I could. But "c'est la vie" it's gone, chosing is renouncing
Thanks for your post Nico I have learned to make choices and I hope I can make a project happen on which I am working now... stay tuned
