Patek is also quite good at making slim automatic watches
Jun 13, 2018,04:53 AM
The no longer available Ellipse 3738 was a mere 5.6 mm in height and could compete with AP RO.
However, Patek went also the popular "big is better" route with some annual calendar watches and the 5980 in particular.
But still: Patek keeps it very traditionally and makes watches as slim as possible.

The watch was so impressive that I even asked Patek if I could have a dummy (as I know I would never be able to own one) but they politely rejected my request.
