Only in a forum like this do folks feel like they must
say their particular Patek is neither rare nor expensive, but they love it. IMO opinion, any Patek to include the least complicated Calatrava, is a marvel of engineering and prohibitively expensive. Prohibitively - like many very successful people can't bring themselves to buy one. This forum, which is wonderful, probably has many folks like me who probably should not spend huge amounts of money on a watch (or watches) but choose to do so because they prioritize their finances very specifically to pick off references once in a while when the financial stars align. If I may say so Joenghenry - your Patek 5100R is exceeding rare, prohibitively expensive and you must have done A LOT of things correctly in your life to be in a position to appreciate the exquisite engineering of Patek Philippe - let alone organize your finances so successfully to acquire your watch! If you never buy another watch again in your life - the fact that you own a Patek 5100R puts you in a tiny percentile of the world population.
