My first Patek 5296R ..and a few questions...
I've just picked up my first Patek - a Calatrava 5296R.
I have a few questions though.......
This is the first automatic watch I've had where you can actually hear the rotor turning. Also, the little wheel next to the rotor wobbles when the rotor turns back and forth. I'm assumign that this is all totally normal and is simply the action of the single direction winding mechanism engaging and diesngaging?

Your watch's design is from a reference 96 from many years ago that also had the sector dial design. Beautiful watch and congratulations! The wheel that wobbles is normal. The rotor making noises is normal as long as the noise isn't terribly loud. Enjoy y...
