Like Miki I purchased my 1st Nautilus early, it was a 3710/1A in 2000. Back then, no one wanted a Nautilus and I still remember the conversations I had with Patek loyalists who looked down on the Nautlius line...

As for the 5712/1A and it's relative values compared to other pieces from Patek, pick your poison.
None of us know what the future will bring but one I thing I do know from owning most all the Nautilus models in SS, I would choose a 5970 or 5270 over any of them without hesitation if I could not sell or trade it in the future and it was NOT my ONLY watch.
Obviously if it was your ONLY watch, then the 5712/1A would make more sense but most of us who own any of these pieces have several others in the collection π
