Aloha Bob,
luckily till now Patek had only a limited number of limited editions. I have refused many because the watches did not impress me. At the same time references like 5100P, 5975P and 5550P really "speak to me". I just bought 5450P. This watch was on the edge as I was not sure if I should get that or 5146P. I wanted to get a plain AC and in the end I took 5450 because of its technical sophistication.
I will take one or two of the earlier mentioned ones with me.
I hope the weather is okay there.

Thanks but not really so.
Some watches I "hunt" for years. Just sometimes it happens that a bigger load is coming in short time and then it might be very quiet for a longer time. I will, most probably, open the watch next time I'm in Patek Salon and those nice guys have ordered me...

The colour of the dial
remands me about the stuff my baby girl generated to her nappies when she was below one year... At the same time, perhaps it would be great to wear a "baby-spirit" watch on the wrist. Best, Kari

From 5550P + 5450P there could be a temptation to continue on the same road: + 5350R + 5250G. But that would already be a very bad (and too expensive) idea. In reality 5550P has it all but the nappy filling colour of an AC forced me to go for 5450P. Plus ...

I have never kept a watch "sealed" over the night but always open it on the same day I receive it. Still it's nice to get older watches in their original packing and unopened. Normally I take such watches to a watchmaker of the brand and ask him to study ...

It's funny but very often I like the limited editions more than the regular ones: 5450P, 5550P, 5100P, 5975P... It's not the relative rarity which is "speaking" to me but the watches. Best, Kari

Yes, I enjoy my 5550P a lot every time I wear it.
But mostly it is a dress/business watch. This reference is refreshingly different compared to other Patek perpetuals with 240Q movement. Best, Kari
