Patek Philippe

It is a bargain

but one of the most expensive (percentage wise) Pateks to service. Take i.e. 5140P... Its service costs are just around 2% of the original purchase price. And after the service the watch should run perfectly for 5 years.

So the cheapest watches cost around 1% of the purchase price per annum to keep them serviced while the "simple" Grand Complications just around 0.4%!

I have a service diary for my watches reminding me when it is time to get those serviced. Furthermore, I keep all the documents of my watches well and I have for all of them a full service history. I.e. Patek in Geneva is always giving a nice written explanation what kind of additional things they did in addition to the regular service.

Best, Kari
