Hi Gordon...

The watch dial is one of those that is very very hard to photograph, the resulting shots often appear to bear little resemblance to it when seen in the flesh (it doesn't help I am no photographer and using an older iPhone in non optimal lighting conditions). Hence I was unsure from the release pictures what the khaki would truly look like, yet it is simply fantastic, I wanted something different to the blue norm, in low level lighting the lume comes alive and the dial is very striking rather than the flat illusion it gives as seen in the various images online including mine.
I've never experienced PP's rubber strap before and wondered whether it might be hard on the wrist but it is a dream, such good quality and so comfortable, soft even and very forgiving. And the updated clasp mechanism is a work of art, I love a deployment clasp for is aesthetics but this quick release system is a gem, and quite frankly knocks the spots of anything I have had to date for ease of use and taking the watch ion and off.
I was worried about the watch's thickness as I did originally have the 5168G khaki coming and switched tac at the last minute with the release of the 5968G-010, yet it is perfect, the white gold giving just enough heft without being too heavy and it's size is perfect for my wrist, I normally preferring 40-41mm diameter but I can hardly tell the watch is an extra 1mm or so. I believe a lot of this is due to the skill of your AD in getting the fitment right as the process of sizing the strap is a staged process, once cut there's no going back! and my AD went in small increments to get to the final fitment. He advised me to wear the watch for 10 mins whilst he did the paperwork and I decided at the last minute to make one last cut as it was moving ever so slightly on my wrist, and I was justified in my decision, it then fitting like a glove after he did so.
All in all, this watch is a belter but I stress potential buyers should aim to see it in the flesh and not judge only based only on images, I suspect if you do get the chance you'll find it hard to pass up on (assuming it fits your wrist ok)
