I had the older 5065 version

I had this watch a few years ago on the 'rubber' strap. Very slim and comfortable. However, the batons on the non 3-6-9-12 hour markers don't point to the centre of the dial and this drove me mad after a while. Think the newer 5167 had batons that point to the centre though. Would definitely buy one again.

I purchased the 5165 a few months ago, primarily because I passed up the option to buy a 5167 a week earlier. As a new watch collector, I think it offers a lot. It's subtle, durable and certainly not heavy. There was an interesting post a few months back ...

I also own the 5065, but the newer 5165/7 series are such an improvement - strap, face etc... Personally though, I prefer the 5165 as the 5167 has this annoying white half-marker on the dial where the date appears. Makes it look as if the watch was desgne...
I think you will find the 'grey-brownish' tone of the dial appealing...

i bought one new and will be here tuesday... excited, especially since im in love with my AP jumbo.. hopefully patek jumbo is similar in how it wears/feels..
